Leah Kaed and Dash News

Over Spring break, Leah read my blog (it's only the second time she's seen it). She was a little concerned as to why I hadn't said anything about the conditioner bottle. I didn't have a good response. She also thinks that I write this blog so I can make fun of her. Do you think I make fun of Leah on this? I don't think so. Sometimes our lives are funny and I share it here. That's my story and I'm sticking with it. She did say that someday she'd start her own blog just to get back at me and I can't wait.
Kaed has been coming up with some great words lately! Learning to read has expanded his vocabulary noticeably, but the way he says some of the words crack me up. For example, "callipiller", as in "eventually that callipiller will turn into a butterfly". One other, "renember", as in "oh, now I renember". And if he's not careful, he still will call an M&M a "lemalem". The best one lately is trying to say Portland Trailblazer Joel Pryzbilla's name. He just calls him Prince Phillip - but that's what he actually thinks his name is. Joel Prince Phillip. But he's becoming quite the little young man. His "rookie"-league baseball season has started and it's going ok. He's had some trouble hitting the ball off a machine, but can still field and throw pretty dang good. Most importantly, he's having a lot of fun. Here's a video of Kaed and Dash playing the piano. Kaed is laying down some chords, while Dash is flavoring it up with some jazz fills. Watch his fingers do the talking.

Dash is 11 months old and here's a quick list of words/actions he's able to do in his brief career thus: says "dog", "ball", and "what's that". Rolls over, monkey crawls - still, pulls self up, and walks with help. Eats all foods. Drinks with cup or sippy cup. Points at things very, very well (seriously, he's a great pointer). Has 8 teeth - 4 up, 4 down. Laughs at own farts. Is ticklish in armpits and thighs. Has difficulty in growing hair. Answers phone (or he'll answer a remote if it's in his hand). Plays patty-cake and "so-big". Dances to music and loves all noise-making things. Can imitate most mono-syllabic noises - which is a very fun game. He just learned to give 5's. And most important, he LOVES his dad. Here's a vid of him answering a cell phone:

And did I mention that he goes upstairs, but only for specific reasons.

I posted another blog just prior to this one about golfing over Spring break below this one.

FORE!!!!!!!!

Forgive me guys, it's been 3 weeks since my last confession, I mean post. Here's a quick run-down on my spring break in Phoenix: It was good.
Moving along.
Ok, I'll give a little more detail, but I want to get to some pictures. The weather was 82-86 all week, we golfed some fantastic courses, saw the Sanchez fam, didn't see any snakes, my right hand got sunburned (left was wearing a glove), flew over the Grand Canyon (check that off the Bucket list), found about 20 golfballs at the nicest course I've ever played - WeKoPa (rich dudes don't like to hunt for their balls), and I golfed pretty good - for me. I'm about a Bogey golfer, which means I average about one dumb shot per hole. Not that the other shots on each hole are stellar, but usually one dumb one that makes the hole's difficulty much harder.
Now to golf pictures: (my flawless swing, a par 3 and par 4 at Johnson Ranch, a par 3 at Poston Butte, putting at Kokopelli, a par 5 at WeKoPa, and a suprise...)

It's probably for the best that Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Ron met later in life. Cousin "Rondor" would have had some issues.
